Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role
  • Practical knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge of equipment, facility, and process validations
  • Experience with managing BOMs, DMRs, equipment and product development, and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Project Management skills including Gantt charts, tracking financials of projects, updating key stakeholders, coordinating resources, and delivering results against project timelines and budgets
  • Experience working with suppliers including managing project deliverables
  • Team dynamic skills (communication, accountability, decision-making, feedback, meeting management, managing conflict)
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis for improvements or non-conformances

Responsibilities

  • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling
  • Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout
  • Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan
  • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
  • Ensures processes and procedures follow regulations
  • Collaborating with R&D to understand product designs, developing manufacturing processes with a focus on plastic injection moulding, and enhancing line efficiency while managing risks
  • Implement Operational Excellence tools
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining BOMs, work instructions, and DMRs
