Requirements
Candidates should possess a CPA or equivalent, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting or a multinational corporate tax department within a public company. Strong background in ASC 740 and IFRS tax accounting and reporting, coupled with proven experience in managing complex US tax matters, is required. Experience with managing tax matters in multiple countries is preferred, along with a solid understanding of transfer pricing principles and their practical implementation. Furthermore, strong leadership, project management, organizational, and communication skills are essential, alongside intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility, combined with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities
The Senior Manager will actively manage the US federal and state tax compliance and tax accounting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all activities. They will prepare and review detailed workpapers to support federal and state income tax compliance, assist with tax audit reviews, lead US tax accounting aspects of acquisitions and transactional activities, and ensure proper integration of acquisitions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify value creation opportunities and mitigate tax risk, as well as working closely with the transfer pricing team and reviewing intercompany transactions. Additionally, the successful candidate will participate in Brazilian tax matters with external advisors and contribute to special projects and process improvements.
