Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies to achieve the best contractual conditions while ensuring internal customer satisfaction
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
  • Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making
  • Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business or plant level (may include management of regional & business teams)
  • Develop expertise within function and grow reputation within the organization as an expert providing professional or thought leadership
  • Influence policy and ensure delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization
  • Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
  • Present business solutions to leaders in functional area
  • Communicate complex messages and negotiate mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view; influence peers to take action and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers
  • Have major influence on small business unit, segment within a larger business unit, family within a Function, or P&L business segment, with ownership/influence over budgets
  • Influence policy/operating guidelines about important subjects (guided by functional policy)
