Responsibilities

Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies to achieve the best contractual conditions while ensuring internal customer satisfaction
Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making
Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business or plant level (may include management of regional & business teams)
Develop expertise within function and grow reputation within the organization as an expert providing professional or thought leadership
Influence policy and ensure delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization
Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
Present business solutions to leaders in functional area
Communicate complex messages and negotiate mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view; influence peers to take action and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers
Have major influence on small business unit, segment within a larger business unit, family within a Function, or P&L business segment, with ownership/influence over budgets
Influence policy/operating guidelines about important subjects (guided by functional policy)
Lead others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization
