Candidates must have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or audit with a preference for Big 4 experience. A CPA designation is required, along with in-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation. Strong technical accounting experience with SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606, demonstrated ability to draft and review technical memos, and exceptional command of AR/AP cycles and operational accounting are essential. Deep experience with NetSuite ERP and related integrations, a proven track record of improving processes and automating workflows, experience with equity accounting and stock-based compensation under ASC 718, and strong leadership and team management experience are also required. SaaS or venture-backed startup experience, experience in a multi-entity or global company structure, experience with Best Practices for Collection and AR Playbook, and experience managing offshore or distributed accounting teams are considered bonuses.
The Senior Manager of Accounting will lead and own the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal reporting packages. They will oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, manage the external audit process, and draft and review technical accounting memos. The role involves maintaining and improving accounting processes for AR, AP, payroll, expense reports, stock-based compensation, and intercompany activity. Responsibilities also include acting as a NetSuite super-user, owning equity accounting and cap table reconciliation, collaborating cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, People, and GTM teams, driving automation and process improvements, and mentoring and managing a team of accountants and third-party resources. Support for tax filings, compliance reporting, and ad hoc reporting is also expected.
