Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, with a CPA being preferred. A minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience or 7 years of industry experience is required. Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with lookups, pivot tables, and if-then functions, are essential. Experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, and Salesforce is preferred, though not mandatory. Excellent communication, time management, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills are also necessary, along with a result-oriented mindset, strong work ethic, and integrity.

Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, employee expense reports, fixed assets, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, financial reporting and analysis, audit preparation, accounting policy, and process documentation and improvement. This role involves managing the Staff Accountant, leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial consolidation and reporting, and preparing quarterly SEC reporting packages. The manager will also support internal and external audits, manage full-cycle AP using Bill.com, review vendor invoices and account coding, prepare annual 1099 reporting, review and reimburse employee expense reports using Expensify, reconcile corporate card statements, prepare annual tax packages, and submit property and business taxes. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will train and mentor the team and perform other assigned duties.
