Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing accounting or finance (Preferred)
  • Advanced Excel, proficiency in BI tools, working knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise ERP (Preferred)
  • Preferably with CPA or CMA or similar designation
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and BI tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving mindset
  • Proven leadership, teamwork, and project management skills
  • Full relocation availability within the US
  • Develop a future Alcon MTO plant controller within 1-2 years

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manufacturing and Technical Operations (MTO) Finance Controller in all aspects of the site financial performance
  • Analyze internal financial information (e.g., profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.)
  • Analyze external economic conditions and their impact on business operations (e.g., inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, etc.)
  • Use financial modeling to measure and forecast potential impacts of financial transactions and corporate development activities at the Johns Creek, GA location
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the site
  • Coordinate and manage the annual budget and monthly forecast processes for the site
  • Develop and maintain product costing models and standards for the site
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators and variances for the site
  • Provide financial support and advice to the site management and operations teams on business decisions and opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and external audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements and standard methodologies to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and projects to support strategic initiatives and goals to improve operational efficiency and profitability
  • Analyze data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement and optimization of site performance
