The Senior Manager, Logistics oversees all aspects of transportation, warehousing, and last-mile delivery operations. This role ensures exceptional service, cost control, and operational excellence across the entire logistics network. Leading a high-performing team, this leader will drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve key performance targets and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, distribution, routing, delivery schedules, and hub coordination.
  • Act as the primary owner for broker, carrier, and third-party logistics partnerships.
  • Track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cost per package, and transit times to ensure service levels and delivery commitments are consistently met.
  • Leverage logistics technologies (e.g., route optimization, GPS tracking, TMS) and apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations.
  • Manage capacity, service quality, and compliance with service level agreements and performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company safety regulations (FMCSA US).
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing logistics team, driving a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance management and talent development to maximize team effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize network performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in logistics or transportation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong understanding of delivery operations, routing, network optimization, and last-mile delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of global trade regulations, tariffs, and customs compliance.
  • Proven experience managing broker, carrier, and third-party logistics relationships.
  • Expertise in international transportation (ocean, air, cross-border) and global trade compliance, including tariffs and customs.
  • Demonstrated application of Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency with logistics systems and tools, including TMS, WMS, ERP (SAP preferred), and advanced data analysis platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to fostering high-performing teams and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge or experience in automation construction processes is a plus.

Our Environment

  • Up to 10% of travel may be required.
  • Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
