Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and/or 10 years equivalent experience
  • Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
  • Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results

Responsibilities

  • Business partner and trusted advisor to the Americas Go-to-Market VP and organization
  • Be a strategic thought partner with the Go-to-Market leadership team to profitably grow the business to achieve its 5-year strategic plan
  • Drive business decisions through insightful analysis of customer needs and product profitability
  • Provide business insights and support for the Resource Industries Go-to-Market (Commercial) organizations, including pricing, sales variance and variable margin analysis and support/proposal profitability analysis
  • Commercial support, including pricing and sales variance strategy, deal support and recommendation
  • Drive strategy surrounding the organization’s analytics and tools aimed at supporting profitable growth
  • Business partner and trusted adviser supporting Large Deal Analysis within the Americas
  • Provide guidance and governance surrounding the Go-To-Market period costs (SG&A) through thoughtful analysis and recommendations
  • Analyze and critique information for conformance with US and local GAAP, corporate guidelines, and reasonability levels
  • Provide leadership to the business related to strategy and analytics focused on driving profitable growth to Resource Industries
