Requirements

  • 8 years of experience as an attorney at law firm or in-house position with working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, the False Claims Act, and the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience advising a health care research services organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of healthcare regulatory and contract law
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines without significant direct supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to internal business partners with respect to Coram and CVS Specialty’s home infusion, ambulatory infusion, operations, health care and pharmacy operations, and healthcare regulations and laws
  • Support the Specialty and Coram’s operations to undertake and support the drafting, negotiation and implementation of nurse agency contracting, including managed care payor arrangements, and provide timely, practical and actionable legal guidance for all legal and regulatory matters
  • Manage outside counsel and supporting internal stakeholders to protect company assets, mitigate risk, and optimize operational performance
  • Work collaboratively with CVS Health Legal, Finance, Underwriting, Compliance and Privacy to identify business and legal risks and provide solutions which balance legal issues and business objectives

  • Lead and influence others while working collaboratively at all levels with internal and external parties
