Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of professional experience handling large scale production systems
Experience with AWS or comparable cloud providers with certification
Experience in designing new services on AWS or comparable cloud provider, migration of services to cloud, and deployment of new services on AWS or comparable cloud provider
Hands-on experience with Ruby, Terraform, and configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible or equivalent
Experience in application support/development on Ruby
Experience in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, ECS)
Experience building & running modern full-stack cloud applications using public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) reliably and at scale
Experience in observability tools like NewRelic, Datadog etc
Expertise in problem solving and analyzing global scale distributed systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Critical thinking, continuously challenging how and why we do things to help us improve

Responsibilities

Own, build and run a suite of impactful platforms built on modern cloud technologies that provide functionality delivering APIs, integrations, security, messaging, streaming, identity, performance, reliability & containers
Build multi-region and multi-cloud supported services that allow scalable, secure service delivery across hundreds of services on AWS & Azure clouds in a regulated environment
Participate in architectural planning, code reviews, and operational design to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions
Act as a hands-on contributor, designing, developing, maintaining, and scaling Coupa’s platform systems and services
Support the effort to containerize a suite of applications to reduce cost and improve efficiency
Develop and drive long-term strategies and roadmaps aligning with business priorities in partnership with the Dev and product Management team
Help improve the reliability and scalability of the hosted products
Take full ownership of products and sustainably deliver high quality features & manage technical debt
Share ideas and participate in opportunities like hack days to explore new ideas & technologies
