Position: Senior Kubernetes Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Kubernetes Engineer to join the Stairwell team. This role is perfect for someone with extensive experience in Kubernetes and containerization technologies. You will play a pivotal role in architecting and deploying our Kubernetes cloud, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and resilient. As a Senior Kubernetes Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our Kubernetes cloud vision to life and support the continuous operation and optimization of our cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and extend a scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes cloud infrastructure that ensures high availability, performance, and security for customer-facing applications.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and management of containerized applications within the Kubernetes cloud.
  • Automate infrastructure management tasks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm, ensuring consistent and efficient operations.
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure the health and performance of the Kubernetes cloud.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the broader engineering goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
  • Kubernetes Expertise: Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments, with strong experience setting up Kubernetes on bare metal.
  • Cloud Platform Knowledge: Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with experience in their Kubernetes services (e.g., EKS, GKE, AKS).
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm for automating Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
  • Communication & Mentorship: Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
