Requirements

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with over 5 years of experience in IT security or cybersecurity operations in enterprise environments. The role requires hands-on experience with security tools like firewalls, SIEMs, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners, along with a strong understanding of networking protocols, operating system security (Windows and Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls, and proven experience managing incident response efforts including forensic analysis and root cause remediation are necessary. Excellent English communication skills, both technical and non-technical, are essential. The applicant must reside in either Lima, Peru or Madrid, Spain.

Responsibilities

The Senior IT Cybersecurity Analyst will manage and maintain critical IT security systems, monitor security events and alerts to detect threats, and investigate and respond to security incidents, including coordinating response efforts, documentation, and remediation. Responsibilities include conducting root cause analysis, performing vulnerability assessments, implementing and updating cybersecurity policies, and supporting IT compliance efforts. The analyst will collaborate with teams to ensure secure system configurations and coding practices, deliver security training, research evolving threats, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
