Requirements

Proficiency in developing and supporting customized engineering application solutions
Ability to work independently and with a team on complex projects spanning engineering applications
Knowledge of major production application systems for internal and external clients
Problem-solving skills for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems
Implementation knowledge for running applications and helping end-users with tasks
Requirements analysis skills using tools, methods, and techniques to elicit, analyze, and record business functionality
System testing knowledge to design, plan, and execute testing strategies
Technical troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, applications, or operations
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, technical certification, or equivalent experience
Proficiency in .NET/C++/Java/JavaScript
Experience with CAD software packages
Experience customizing CAD software packages (e.g., Creo, NX)
Experience implementing software solutions using 3rd party APIs
Experience with source code management tools (e.g., SVN, Git)

Responsibilities

Perform duties with some supervision
Work directly on application/technical problem identification and resolution
Work on complex modules used by one or more programs or applications
Work on projects spanning multiple functional areas
Develop major application modules and programs
Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application and system components
Be fully knowledgeable of programming languages, program design, specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, basic system analysis, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage, and internal systems
