Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in EMEA VAT with Big 4 firms or multinational companies
  • Accounting and/or tax qualification
  • Strong ability to develop initial views to complex problems independently
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to manage a number of projects at any one time
  • Knowledge of international tax with indirect tax elements of US GAAP a benefit
  • Strong proficiency in English, other language skills a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement tax strategies with a focus on EMEA VAT including supply chain design
  • Manage interactions with tax authorities on indirect tax matters
  • Collaborate with EMEA VAT compliance team to further develop in-house capabilities
  • Manage process and control environment to ensure timely and accurate compliance with EMEA indirect tax obligations
  • Monitor legislative developments along with communication of impact to wider business
  • Manage relationships with external advisers, suppliers and business customers
  • Support indirect tax systems implementations and updates
  • Promote VAT awareness through knowledge sharing and training
