As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll be part of one of our multidisciplinary teams, working closely with tech leads, product managers, and software architects. The Daily Fantasy Sports team drives DraftKings’ original product with year-round sports contests, focusing on innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. You’ll be a valuable contributor to our processes and decision-making, ensuring the scalability and availability of the entire platform when building new features.

Responsibilities

• Actively research software components and gain a strong understanding of the architecture and design of the product.
• Develop systems and APIs that power a rich set of applications used by a large and passionate group of users every day.
• Care about agility as much as scalability. We roll out products very quickly and are looking for a team that can pivot at a moment’s notice.
• Maintain application software throughout the product life cycle.
• Support production for incident management and problem resolution.
• Ensure our components can handle expected loads, as great performance is critical.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of development experience in object-oriented programming using languages such as C# or Java.
• Expertise in developing modern web applications using React.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Minimum 1 year of relational database experience.
• Strong working knowledge of jQuery.
• Experience in writing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of automation tests (unit, integration, performance).
• Experience writing distributed systems in a Cloud computing environment such as AWS.
• Ability to grow other engineers through code reviews and design reviews.
• Familiarity with Load and Performance tuning of large distributed systems under virtualization (Docker/Kubernetes) is considered an advantage.
