Responsibilities

  • Leading design and delivery of commerce features that drive measurable business impact for both self-serve and enterprise customers, owning outcomes end-to-end
  • Guiding platform scaling initiatives, improving reliability and performance in user-critical flows, and raising quality bars through robust instrumentation
  • Partnering with Product and Design to clarify requirements, define MVPs, and instrument experiments that validate value quickly
  • Attending agile ceremonies and helping the team make predictable, incremental progress with clear priorities and limited WIP
  • Collaborating across squads to improve engineering practices, evolve monorepo tooling, define service boundaries, and reduce operational toil
  • Reviewing and authoring implementation plans and pull requests with a focus on simplicity, maintainability, observability, and incremental delivery
  • Mentoring and coaching engineers through pairing, technical design reviews, thoughtful feedback, and structured growth guidance
  • Using AI assistants thoughtfully to scaffold code, generate tests, draft documentation, analyze logs, and accelerate experiments. Choosing when not to use AI based on risk, privacy, and correctness considerations
