Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Preferred Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
At least 5 years of proven experience in testing and validation of automotive qualified electronic products, or electronic products
Experience in product design and fabrication of prototype electronics
Testing and measurement of RF electronic performance
Electronic systems design and specification
IoT and automotive electronics experience preferred
FMEA and DFMEA of electronic products
White box and black box testing
Program and project management. Leading and participating in a cross-functional support team environment
Experience in Vehicle Dynamics a plus
Proficiency in electronics testing
Proficiency in software programming language: Python, C/C++
Proficiency with testing tools of automotive vendors like DSPACE or VECTOR
Familiarity with BLE, WiFi and RF communication protocol
Familiarity with CAN/J1939, OBD-II and UDS
Familiarity with machine to machine protocols like MQTT, HTTP
Ability to carry out assignments in a logical fashion using existing technology & standardized methods
Basic organization, communication & experimentation discipline. Practical understanding of science & technology in the appropriate discipline
Responsibilities
Design, plan, perform and document system, hardware and software (embedded and cloud) tests of tire electronics and vehicle telematic systems
Design test equipment, maintain hardware in the loop system, vehicle CAN communication simulator, sensor simulator
Support product development and operation teams, join working group
Work closely with external testing partners as well as the hardware and software developers to setup the right test plan to validate the new product features over all phases of engineering from System Design to continuous field monitoring
Act as a test manager, review supplier test strategy
Contribute to standardization of development process, according standard like ASPICE
Support the global innovation and product development teams by testing and validation of tire electronic solutions (sensor, receiver, IoT gateway, automotive ECU) for passenger, commercial applications
Understand business requirements and deliver technology that meets performance, cost and quality standards
Support development of Goodyear’s strategy in global innovation and tire information systems
