The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cryptocurrency and ACH/Fiat transactions, with the ability to track, investigate, and make sound risk-based decisions to mitigate unlawful or potentially suspicious activity. A thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to bank secrecy and anti-money laundering is required. Familiarity with current banking and financial services delivery, including traditional banking and cutting-edge transfers of funds via virtual wallets, stablecoins, and crypto is also necessary.
The Senior Financial Crimes Investigator will assist in the Bank Secrecy Act and Fraud Program, focusing on transaction monitoring, fraud trend analysis, and supporting federal laws related to reporting suspicious activity, money laundering, potential terrorist financing, and fraudulently obtained loans. Responsibilities include monitoring and identifying fraud, assisting in mitigation strategies that balance customer satisfaction with fraud prevention, evaluating customer transactions and applications for fraud and BSA targeted acts, and ensuring SARs and Elder Abuse Financial Abuse reports are filed within federal timeframes. The role also involves maintaining compliance with CIP, CDD, EDD, OFAC, and other relevant regulations, and collaborating with Product, Engineering, Credit, and Operations teams to manage risks and launch new products.
