Requirements

  • Reporting to the Director, Finance Business Partner EMEA
  • Experience in strategic finance business partnering, particularly in media/content organizations
  • Strong analytical skills for brand profitability, productivity analysis, insights, and benchmarking
  • Ability to develop KPIs, performance metrics, and productivity analyses to maximize ROI
  • Expertise in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, P&L reviews (revenue to EBITDA), COGS/Opex analysis, accruals, and cost management
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, Opex (T&E, courier costs), content budgeting, pagination, and supplement planning
  • Capability to coach/train local Finance Business Partners and drive standardisation/best practices
  • Strong communication skills to partner with EICs, EMEA leadership, Global Content Finance, and brand teams
  • Ability to dedicate ~50% time to EMEA region support

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic finance partnering to EICs of EU Single Market and Regional Brands (including Vanity Fair Europe), offering insights, forward-looking analysis, and challenge to drive performance
  • Maintain strong understanding of key value drivers influencing brand performance, working closely with EMEA leadership and Global Content Finance
  • Develop KPIs, productivity analyses, and performance metrics to maximise ROI on content
  • Support strategic analysis, business case preparation, and ad hoc financial projects for EU Single Market and Regional Brands
  • Support preparation and consolidation of budgets and forecasts for EU Single Market and Regional Brands
  • Act as key regional contact for EMEA Leadership, Corporate Finance, and Global Content Finance on performance and variance analysis
  • Provide analytical input on strategic opportunities, risks, and long-range planning
  • Lead detailed budgeting and forecasting for all UK brands
  • Manage workforce planning with HR (hiring, phasing, merit changes, maternity cover, etc.)
  • Oversee Opex planning, with focus on T&E and courier costs
  • Support content budgeting, pagination, and supplement planning across UK brands
  • Allocate and monitor local content budgets to achieve revenue and cost targets
  • Conduct monthly P&L reviews with all brands to analyse COGS and Opex movements
  • Prepare detailed analysis packs, reviewing spend and accruals with brand teams
  • Ensure accurate recognition of pre-paid content and correct cost management
  • Lead quarterly P&L reviews (revenue to EBITDA) to enhance editorial financial understanding
  • Coach and train local Finance Business Partners across EMEA to standardise reporting and best practices
  • Analyse Brand profitability and productivity across EMEA, delivering insights and benchmarking, resulting in proposals to maximise ROI and improve profitability
  • Drive standardisation and best practices implementation across the region in partnering with the Content Organisation
  • Provide support to local leaders of Global Brands in the UK
  • Dedicate ~50% of time to EMEA Region Support
