Requirements

  • 5+ years of Compliance experience in the relevant risk areas within the life science/healthcare industries, or a similarly highly regulated industry
  • B.A. or B.S. or similar university degree required
  • Business minded, risk conscious, proactive, solutions-oriented, and self-motivated professional, able to explain complex compliance points to the business; able to take business managers’ concerns and demands into account in how best to develop and execute on compliance strategies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a wide variety of audiences. Fluency in English and preferably fluency in other language(s) spoken in the EMEA region
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR and hands-on experience in data protection, particularly in developing and implementing a privacy program
  • Willingness to travel (~10%) and to visit sites within the region on a regular basis
  • Preferred: 7+ years of Compliance experience in the relevant risk areas within the life science/healthcare industries, or a similarly highly regulated industry
  • Preferred: CCEP-I or similar compliance or risk management certification; CIPP/E certification
  • Preferred: Data privacy compliance program experience

Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on business activities and strategies and support implementation of Compliance systems, processes and controls
  • Modifying, updating, and implementing Compliance policies and procedures, and design and conduct ongoing Compliance training for associates
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop risk management strategies and implement internal design controls to mitigate business risks, including third party/distributor risk management
  • Conduct regular compliance auditing and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of compliance systems, processes, and controls, and implement any required remedial actions
  • Promoting Danaher’s Code of Conduct, core values, Speak Up program, and conduct investigations and oversee implementation of related corrective actions
  • Partner with the Life Sciences Platform Privacy Lead and the Global Compliance Director to support the implementation and maintenance of the Pall privacy program
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on GDPR related matters, facilitate the internal DSAR process, complete privacy impact assessments, lead the data privacy steering committee, etc
