  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-5 years Escrow Officer experience
  • Licensing requirements as required by State/Federal Agencies or ability to obtain
  • Notary Public license requirements as required by State
  • Customer service skills with experience engaging with diverse homebuyer demographics
  • Ability to multi-task and handle fast-paced and demanding work environment
  • Effective follow up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adjust well to change
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across dispersed teams in multiple locations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required (Experience with OneNote and SoftPro is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of the settlement transactions including preparation and approval of Settlement Statements, preparation and coordination of deeds, verify accuracy of loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract or sales agreement
  • Obtain signatures for closing transactions, explain all documents executed as needed, and facilitate questions/answers between parties to the transaction
  • Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines which includes but is not limited to collection and disbursement of funds while complying with required State and Federal Good Funds statutes
  • Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure compliance with required business policy
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation from settlement team to Recording and Accounting departments
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff
  • Manage a higher volume of closings compared to Escrow Officers, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in processing transactions
  • Ensure adherence to workflow processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
