Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimization techniques, and quality management systems
  • Proficiency in process simulation software, statistical analysis tools, and 8D problem solving methodology
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing roles (preferred), preferably in the process engineer sector
  • Experience, skills, and knowledge in 4IR (preferred)
  • Eagerness to stay updated with advancements in technology and manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Eager to learn and strong growth mindset thinking (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards
  • Develop and implement methods to ensure products meet specifications and standards consistently; collaborate with other departments
  • Identify and resolve issues in manufacturing processes to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations
  • Evaluate potential risks in manufacturing processes and implement measures to mitigate them, ensuring safety and compliance
  • Regularly review processes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and implement changes accordingly
  • Incorporate new technologies, materials, and methods into existing workflows to enhance manufacturing processes and stay ahead of industry advancements
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Equipment teams to optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive maintenance programs; recommend equipment upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Maintain accurate records of processes, procedures, and changes to facilitate analysis, audits, and continuous improvement
  • Work with cross-functional teams including production, equipment engineering, development, quality, and management to address challenges and implement improvements
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure effective implementation and adherence to standards
