Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimization techniques, and quality management systems
Proficiency in process simulation software, statistical analysis tools, and 8D problem solving methodology
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing roles (preferred), preferably in the process engineer sector
Experience, skills, and knowledge in 4IR (preferred)
Eagerness to stay updated with advancements in technology and manufacturing processes (preferred)
Eager to learn and strong growth mindset thinking (preferred)

Responsibilities

Improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards
Develop and implement methods to ensure products meet specifications and standards consistently; collaborate with other departments
Identify and resolve issues in manufacturing processes to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations
Evaluate potential risks in manufacturing processes and implement measures to mitigate them, ensuring safety and compliance
Regularly review processes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and implement changes accordingly
Incorporate new technologies, materials, and methods into existing workflows to enhance manufacturing processes and stay ahead of industry advancements
Collaborate with Maintenance and Equipment teams to optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive maintenance programs; recommend equipment upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and reliability
Maintain accurate records of processes, procedures, and changes to facilitate analysis, audits, and continuous improvement
Work with cross-functional teams including production, equipment engineering, development, quality, and management to address challenges and implement improvements
Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure effective implementation and adherence to standards
