Requirements

Expert subject matter knowledge in AI/ML to manage staff activities in solving complex business/technical issues within established policies
Experience managing exempt individual contributors (typically Expert/Master) and/or MG1s, with accountability for large multi-department areas or locations impacting business unit results and organizational strategy
Ability to act as a key advisor to senior management on development of overall policies and long-term goals
Experience planning, managing, and monitoring high-end operational/tactical activities of staff focused on tactical or strategic issues
Capability to recruit and support development of direct staff members (typically manages 10 or more direct reports)
Position typically reports to Director or above, managing activities within a sub-region or Region

Responsibilities

Develop and program integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze, and leverage structured and unstructured data in product and systems applications
Work with large scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems, and modeling environments
Use machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to improve product/system performance, data management, quality, and accuracy
Formulate descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights/algorithms and translate technical specifications into code
Apply, optimize, and scale deep learning technologies and algorithms to enable computers to visualize, learn, and respond to complex situations
Document procedures for installation and maintenance, complete programming, perform testing and debugging, and define/monitor performance metrics
Contribute to HPE's success by translating customer requirements and industry trends into AI/ML products, solutions, and systems improvement projects
Develop and drive the organization's AI and machine learning strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives
Identify new opportunities for AI and machine learning applications, evaluate emerging technologies and trends, and provide thought leadership on innovative solutions
Lead and manage a team of AI and machine learning professionals, including data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists
Provide mentorship, guidance, career development support, and allocate resources effectively
