Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Biomedical/Imaging Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (PhD preferred; Master’s considered)
  • 6+ years of experience post education in diagnostics, medtech, or biopharma
  • Demonstrated expertise building production LLM systems: RAG, fine-tuning, tool-use/agents, prompt engineering, evaluation (faithfulness, factuality), and optimization
  • Hands-on proficiency in Python/R and imaging/ML, causal/survival/longitudinal methods, and visualization tools
  • Proven experience analyzing RWE/RWD (EHR, claims, registries, device logs) for clinical, regulatory, or market access impact
  • Ability to travel – 20%

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of large language models (LLMs) and agentic AI across Danaher’s Diagnostics Platform
  • Own the LLM/agent roadmap
  • Build governed multi-modal datasets (text, tabular, device logs, lab results, EHR/claims)
  • Develop and validate production-grade RAG, fine-tuned LLMs, and task-specific agents
  • Integrate results into products, studies, and evidence programs (scientific, regulatory, market access, and post-market)
  • Collaborate with clinical, regulatory/quality, R&D, medical affairs, IT/security, and Operating Companies (OpCos) to deliver measurable patient and business impact
  • Conduct RWE analytics of EHR/claims/registries/device telemetry to drive biomarker discovery and development
  • Communicate impact to clinical, technical, and executive audiences via clear narratives, dashboards, and publications/white papers
  • Orchestrate cross-OpCo, AI Enterprise, and academic/consortia collaborations; manage vendors and open-source participation where strategic
