Candidates should have at least 10 years of relevant experience as an attorney, with experience in both law firms and in-house legal departments. Extensive experience in employment law, including litigation management, is required, along with strong knowledge of U.S., Ireland, UK, and Australia employment laws and regulations. Experience in developing and implementing employment policies, programs, compliance initiatives, and training is also necessary. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to multitask, handle various legal issues simultaneously, thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, passion for corporate initiatives, versatility, confidence, a high level of initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
The Senior Employment Counsel will provide global counseling and subject matter expertise on a broad range of labor and employment issues across multiple jurisdictions, including employee policies, performance management, terminations, immigration, wage and hour compliance, employee relations, conflicts of interest and ethics, executive compensation, and equity matters. Responsibilities include advising on compensation-related matters, managing the resolution of internal investigations, administrative claims, and litigation, staying current on employment laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing legal documents, developing and maintaining employment policies, and delivering training to employees and HR teams. The role also involves providing advice on privacy and data protection involving employees and job applicants, and assessing legal risks for strategic initiatives impacting the global workforce.
