Requirements

20+ years of EH&S experience in petrochemical/oil & gas industry with at least 10 years in a managerial role
Minimum of 15 years of experience in EPC role
15+ years of experience in liaising and working with Clients and Sub-Contractor Management teams
Strong experience in Permit-to-Work and Permit-to-Start-Work processes
Strong technical competence in Construction and Commissioning Safety, supported by a thorough knowledge of international standards for management of EHS and Risk
High level of knowledge and experience in incident and crisis management in remote locations
Results oriented, able to understand impact of decisions/changes on project EHS risks and overall project success
Overseeing the assessment and expedient reporting of incidents to determine immediate actions and implementation of learnings
Investigating incidents in leading or facilitating role
Develop an EHS culture that empowers the workforce to deliver EHS performance
Demonstrate competency to deliver World Class Safety on a construction site
Demonstrate leadership, integrity, and interpersonal skills
Possess a strong passion and commitment to employee involvement, team building, diversity, and inclusion
Strong planning, coordination, and risk management skills
Energy, drive and determination to build up high performance safety management and to assist leading the Site Team to deliver the required results
Supporting and collaborating with the onsite contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and others in a respectful and professional manner to focus on driving the Project Safety Culture
Bachelor degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or relevant engineering discipline
Incident investigation qualification (Tap Root, Sologic RCA, or similar)
Lead Auditor ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, extensive auditing experience
Emergency response management qualification is plus

Responsibilities

Manage the project construction and commissioning EHS program
Ensure that all EHS targets are met or exceeded during the Construction & Commissioning phases of the project
Deputize for the Head of EHS if and when required
Report to Head of EHS and Project Execution Director
