Requirements

  • Experience leading cross-functional Compound Development Teams (CDT) in late-stage development (Phase 2b/3/3b/4 and post-marketing)
  • Expertise in neuropsychiatry or related therapeutic area compound strategy development
  • Strong matrix leadership skills across functions including TA strategy, GCSO, global regulatory affairs, project management, finance, legal, quality assurance, clinical supplies, drug discovery, early clinical development, strategic marketing, CM&C, and preclinical
  • Ability to manage budgets, financials, and program plans for compound development
  • Proficiency in risk identification, contingency planning, issue resolution, and decision-making tools
  • Skills in mentoring, guiding, and providing performance input for team members
  • Capability to act as spokesperson for clinical research findings and presentations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-functional Compound Development Team (CDT) as matrix leader
  • Develop and execute compound strategy in collaboration with TA Leadership Team
  • Lead development and maintenance of the program plan, providing research, analysis, and expertise for decision-making
  • Manage cross-functional execution of the project plan by negotiating functional deliverables with Function heads
  • Align CDT members to achieve team goals through networks of people and functions
  • Identify critical risks, assumptions, and issues; lead contingency planning and resolution at CDT, TA, Pharma governance, and senior management levels
  • Facilitate CDT problem-solving and provide decision-making tools and techniques
  • Communicate strategy and plans to TA & Pharma governance committees, development partners, and key stakeholders
  • Review medical publications from the Team and affiliates
  • Account for the compound/program budget
  • Work with Function heads to select CDT members, set goals/objectives, mentor/guide members, and provide performance evaluation input
  • Execute the program, manage deliverables, and oversee financials
  • Act as company spokesperson (with senior clinical personnel) for publication of clinical research findings and presentations
