Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience and 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related domains. Required qualifications include experience supporting infrastructure in AWS public cloud environments, leading SRE teams with a focus on automation, hands-on application development in languages like Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or Go, and strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Proficiency in network engineering fundamentals including TCP/IP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN is also necessary, along with experience in Agile software development and Scrum methodology, and excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Preferred qualifications include AWS certification, Linux systems expertise, experience with large-scale distributed systems, container orchestration frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD or Jenkins.

Responsibilities

The Senior DevOps Engineer will partner with engineering teams to manage service availability, latency, performance, reliability, and scalability, ensuring customer SLAs are met. This role involves providing technical leadership, acting as an SME for SRE functions with an automation-first mindset, and collaborating with various stakeholders to define SLOs/SLIs and error budgets. Responsibilities include defining processes and KPIs, managing cloud costs, capacity planning, and performance optimization. The engineer will drive service instrumentation for observability, own the incident management process including post-mortems and runbooks, and coordinate change and release management. Additionally, they will evangelize SRE best practices, champion DevSecOps principles, coach team members, and demonstrate servant leadership.
