Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of DevOps experience, with hands-on expertise in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) using tools like Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory/Nexus. Strong skills in Shell Scripting and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, Groovy, Java, and YAML are required. Experience with Linux infrastructure and familiarity with IBM z/OS-based infrastructure, particularly in hybrid enterprise environments, are advantageous. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (like Terraform, Ansible) and Container & Container Orchestration tools like Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana is also needed.
As a Senior Mainframe DevOps Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a complex set of software products across multiple platforms, with a primary focus on z/OS systems. You will receive training on existing zOS product applications and assembly processes, focusing on implementing CI/CD capabilities tailored for mainframe systems. You will monitor and manage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability, define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations, and lead platform upgrade/migration/maintenance independently. You should also stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and utilise them to enhance the software infrastructure, while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
