Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years' experience of graphic design, preferably in product creation or in an agency
  • Well-curated portfolio showcasing a variety of projects that demonstrate a strong, effective methodology for research, inspiration, design development, problem solving, process, and final execution (must submit creative design portfolio with website links or PDF files)
  • Experience working directly with a diverse range of consumers/athletes
  • Contribution to the initiation, development and implementation of in-depth research leading to distinct product story-telling
  • Positive attitude while working on projects with challenging briefs and through ambiguity to successful completion
  • Ability to prioritize workload across short-term and long-range projects with varying levels of complexity
  • Demonstrates self-awareness, with ability to articulate strengths, opportunities, and takeaways
  • Well informed and stays connected to sport, cultural and graphic design trends
  • Advancing knowledge of product design, including ideation, development, specification, and final execution of designs that balance innovation, performance, and style
  • High degree of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (must), Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Creatively agile and adept in innovative thinking, visioning and problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizing narratives across multiple collections through Graphic Visual Centers and Presentations
  • Working with Product and Design partners to align on construction, development, insights, and various presentation gates
  • Working closely with Tee Design teammates on brainstorm sessions for creative strategies
  • Participating in meetings to review graphics, apparel, and color designs to achieve desired goals
  • Collaborating with the Manager of NSW Tees, Product Management, and Tech Dev teams to create narrative-driven graphic design across the Nike Sportswear apparel portfolio
  • Playing a key role in the conceptualization, design, and development of apparel graphics and branding elements
