Location/Division Specific Information We are the Clinical Trials Division (CTD): We Supply the Hope that Changes Lives - Global (REMOTE). CTD partners with pharmaceutical and biotech customers around the world ensuring the right patients get the right therapies in the right doses at the right time - a concept that we internally adopt as "There is a Patient Waiting." Discover Impactful Work: The Sr Demand Planner makes an impact by Independently leading the Design, Implement, Interpret and Review inventory management plan to forecast supply plan of study drugs to global and sophisticated clinical trials, using sound supply chain techniques. Ensuring the plans are robust and optimizes global and regional supply strategies to ensure continuity of patient supply in the most effective and efficient manner.

A Day in the Life:

  • Informal leader within the team who looks to improve processes, tools, and resources for organization.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance for new hires and less experienced planners and is viewed as a role model leader by peers.
  • Provide input into User Requirement Specifications of Interactive Response Technology (IRT) medication management module and complete User Acceptance Testing if required.
  • Review IRT strategy to ensure it supports the strategic supply plans and that IRT settings are adjusted to optimize the supply and demand.
  • Partners with the Enterprise Project Manager, along with global and site project management teams and/or directly with the customer to inform and proactively share key client data necessary to facilitate an effective supply chain planning cycle.
  • Ensure temperature excursion process is performed as required.
  • Establish and maintain financial forecasts and monthly billing processes for assigned complex client projects.
  • To foster a sense of belonging and connection, remote employees are expected to keep their camera on and participate in video calls both internally and externally, as appropriate.

Requirements

As Demonstrated By: Project Management

  • Understands the customer’s target market, segmentation, and value proposition. Identifies the client’s needs, distributes those needs, and collects feedback regularly to ensure efforts are meeting their expectation.
  • Speaks and writes in a clear, concise, and organized way. Listens carefully to others to ensure understanding and effective communication. Effectively documents and communicates key findings so that the client or audience understands.

Keys to Success: Education

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business/operations management preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 5 years of supply chain and/or planning experience managing global supply chain design and logistics management, preferably as they relate to clinical program design and execution without degree.
  • 4 years experience accepted with advanced degree.
  • Understanding of clinical supply requirements, phases of clinical development, and the factors that influence study designs preferred.
