Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist will own the data strategy for the Places app, focusing on building and optimizing a recommendations-first experience. This involves exploring user behavior, running experiments, and personalizing the product in collaboration with product, engineering, and design teams. Responsibilities include building and maintaining dashboards and metrics, analyzing user behavior and search logs to uncover patterns, improving data organization and infrastructure, designing and analyzing A/B tests, and leveraging off-the-shelf models for optimization. Additionally, the role requires applying and evaluating large language models for various tasks, collaborating with ML engineers on recommendations systems, and contributing to a data-driven culture by communicating findings.
