Requirements

Candidates should have relevant experience in quantitative or data science roles, preferably for a consumer-facing service or app. A Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field is required, with a minimum of 3+ years of industry data science experience for Ph.D. holders and 5+ years for M.S. or Bachelor's degree holders. Expertise in SQL and programming languages like R or Python is essential, along with a deep understanding of online experimentation, causal inference, and statistical techniques. Candidates must be comfortable in fast-paced environments, possess strong technical communication and data storytelling skills, and be able to tackle ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist will develop action-oriented insights to drive product strategy through causal analysis and experiment meta-analysis, communicating results to C-suite stakeholders. They will also improve experimentation practices by guiding design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests. Responsibilities include creating ETLs, tables, dashboards, and self-serve tools for data access, designing and measuring team-level KPIs, engaging with stakeholders to ensure alignment, and mentoring junior data scientists in best practices.
