Candidates must possess 7+ years of experience in Healthcare Analytics or Data Science, with a focus on working with large datasets and conducting statistical and quantitative modeling, including data mining, clustering, and segmentation, and 5+ years of experience using data science and visualization tools such as SQL, R, and Python, along with experience working at a digital health or similar startup during its growth phase.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist, the individual will serve as a data lead for the Adoption Squad, understanding product strategy and goals to identify impactful opportunities and risks, translating hunches into analytical questions, designing analyses to inform product decisions, driving experimentation thoughtfully, and working end-to-end to translate clinical, member, and claims data into actionable recommendations through reports, dashboards, and data transformation pipelines, while also collaborating with stakeholders to create impactful data-driven reports and analyses that strengthen Virta’s value proposition and identify where product strategy and ideas could be better implemented with the help of AI (ML or GenAI).
