Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant data science experience, proficiency in Python, SQL, or another analytical tool, and experience developing risk models and consumer behavior models. A strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization tools is required, along with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating data-driven recommendations to non-technical stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of model governance principles and practices is essential, as is an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science. Experience in both the credit and fraud domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist will develop and implement risk management models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to manage fraud and credit financial loss. They will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects, including data collection, preprocessing, model development, and deployment. Responsibilities also include designing and building model monitoring systems and model governance, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business objectives into data science strategies, and working with engineers, compliance, and product teams to deploy models. Staying current with data science and machine learning developments to enhance lending processes is also key.
