Requirements

Candidates must possess a degree in computer science or a comparable analytical field, with at least 5 years of post-undergraduate work experience and proven project leadership experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills, a robust background in machine learning and statistics, and a demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure are essential. Proficiency in writing and reviewing Python code within a shared codebase, practical SQL knowledge, experience designing experiments and collecting data, and familiarity with the Linux command line are also required. Bonus points are awarded for previous experience in fraud, payments, or e-commerce, data analysis in a distributed environment, a passion for writing well-tested production-grade code, and a Master's Degree or PhD.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for the performance of enterprise merchants, researching new fraud patterns with the Risk Intelligence team, and improving key components of the Signifyd Commerce Protection Platform. They will communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences, including executives, build production machine learning models to identify fraud, write production and offline analytical code in Python, work with distributed data pipelines, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the machine-learning pipeline.
