Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a Data Engineering, ETL, Data Science or related role
  • Expert knowledge of SQL, data modeling, Python and frameworks such as Spark, Storm, Airflow, Glue (Java also beneficial)
  • B.S in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or a related data field
  • Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Sisense, Superset, Tableau
  • Detail-oriented, with a healthy dose of mistrust to investigate data discrepancies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, self-direct, and problem solve collaboratively
  • Fast learner of new languages, tools & frameworks, willing to adapt as needed
  • Curious about new approaches and pushing boundaries

Responsibilities

  • Own the tooling, frameworks, data pipelines, integrations, databases, schemas and data integrity of the reporting cluster
  • Enable operations team to make data-driven decisions with timely, consistent, complete, and correct data, reports, and analytics
  • Work closely with engineering team to build reporting and analytics infrastructure for Finix and customer needs
  • Provide leading reporting and analytics capabilities to delight customers' operations and accounting teams
  • Serve as subject matter expert in data pipelines, data lakes and warehouse, tooling & frameworks, integration and sourcing of data
  • Design, build and maintain all code, pipelines, schemas, databases and frameworks powering Finix’s data analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Source, prepare and supply data for operations teams, product team, and data analysts to support decisions, operations, and insights
