Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases are essential, and familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark is considered a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside excellent communication and teamwork abilities, are also required. Experience with cloud-based data solutions is an advantage.
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data architectures and pipelines, developing ETL processes to facilitate data transfer and transformation, collaborating with data scientists and analysts to fulfill data needs, optimizing database performance and maintaining data integrity, conducting data quality checks and resolving discrepancies, mentoring junior data engineers, and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.
