Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 6 years of industry experience in data infrastructure or data engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of experience utilizing Python and SQL, and at least 3 years of experience with DBT and Snowflake. Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, RDS, EKS, DMS, EMR, and familiarity with big data platforms like Snowflake, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Cassandra, Airflow, and experience with relational and NoSQL databases is required. Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns are also necessary. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically CDK and Terraform, and CI/CD practices is desired.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will design, implement, and maintain high-quality data pipeline services, including Data Lake, Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, and data access layers. They will develop robust and efficient DBT models and jobs to support analytics reporting and machine learning modeling, collaborating closely with the Analytics and Data Science teams. The role involves creating scalable real-time streaming pipelines and offline ETL pipelines, designing and managing a data warehouse, and continuously improving data operations through automation and optimization. Furthermore, the Senior Data Engineer will create engineering documentation and contribute to cross-functional teams, building and improving user onboarding funnels, and driving metric improvements through comprehensive experimentation.
