Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience of typically 8+ years in digital forensics or incident response. A minimum of 5-7 years in digital forensics, incident response, or a related cybersecurity discipline is required, along with an in-depth understanding of network intrusion methods and cyber attack TTPs. Hands-on experience conducting forensics and incident response in cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and across multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) is necessary, as is experience using Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR/XDR) tools for threat hunting, log analysis, and investigative support.
The Senior Cyber Forensic Investigator will lead complex investigations into cyber incidents, data breaches, insider threats, and other digital security events, protecting digital assets and ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards. Responsibilities include independently conducting detailed forensic investigations, analyzing digital evidence from various sources, interpreting device and application logs, and preparing comprehensive investigative reports with recommendations. The role involves presenting findings to diverse audiences, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, providing training and mentorship, supporting real-time incident response, managing the Digital Forensics Lab environment, and enhancing forensic capabilities through tool and script development. Occasional travel for meetings, training, and on-site investigations may be required.
