Requirements

  • Law degree from ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing of any state bar
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience
  • Experience negotiating agreements and navigating regulatory requirements in technology, financial services, and/or payments industries strongly preferred
  • Strong skills and deep experience in drafting and negotiating customer facing commercial agreements
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills; strong interpersonal skills essential
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and to multi-task in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Demonstrated ability to apply innovative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound, practical business judgment while working autonomously
  • Ability to work independently, but in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple business lines within the company, senior business leaders, and legal team members, on customer contract negotiations, pre-litigation disputes, and regulatory filings and requests
  • Draft and negotiate customer facing commercial agreements, including partner agreements, referral agreements, client agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and other supporting documents
  • Support and/or lead department projects and initiatives designed to improve legal service delivery within the businesses
