Requirements

4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Knowledge in U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting requirements
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Motivated to seek out and execute process improvements, especially by leveraging AI and automation
Excellent communication skills with a record of success in developing relationships and presenting financial results effectively

Responsibilities

Perform monthly and quarterly close activities in key ownership areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, GL account management, fluctuation analyses, and key performance metrics
Manage the close calendar and prepare consolidated financial reporting packages for leadership, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables against established deadlines
Facilitate ledger closure and reconciliation of trial balance data between Twitch and Amazon accounting systems
Drive standardization of accounting documentation across Controllership by developing templates, establishing guidelines, and implementing best practices for knowledge management
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in processes or systems, taking initiative and ownership to implement solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Controllership, Tax, Finance, G&A businesses, FinTech, Amazon Accounting) to understand upstream and downstream impacts and ensure accuracy of financial data
Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other team members as needed
