A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience. Candidates should possess a good understanding of contract law principles, including business, intellectual property, and local tax laws. Demonstrated ability in basic investigator grant negotiation, business and financial principles for service agreements, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills are necessary. Familiarity with the pharmaceutical product development process and CRO involvement is also required, along with the ability to work independently or in a team, and strong organizational and time management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language are essential.
The Senior Contract Specialist will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing agreements with study sites in accordance with established processes. This includes negotiating investigator grant budgets, contractual terms, and conditions within approved parameters, ensuring compliance with negotiation parameters, authority approvals, contractual processes, and client expectations. The role involves ensuring compliance with budgetary guidance, templates, and processes, identifying and assessing legal, financial, and operational risks, and coordinating with internal departments to align site startup activities with contractual timelines. The specialist will also ensure alignment of contract negotiation processes with the critical path for site activation.
