Requirements

Candidates should possess 4-7 years of communications experience, with a minimum of 2 years in the technology or finance sectors. Essential skills include strong writing and editing abilities to translate complex technical concepts for general audiences, excellent project management and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration, and proficiency in stakeholder management. Experience managing media and vendor relationships, as well as preparing speaker support materials and a track record of successful product or program launches, are also required. A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in blockchain/crypto/web3 communications, an understanding of blockchain technology and decentralized systems, experience with technical developer communities, and international communications experience.

Responsibilities

The Senior Communications Manager will execute communication strategies aligned with Walrus's business objectives to enhance brand visibility and reputation. This role involves collaborating with ecosystem partners and cross-functional teams to develop compelling stories, driving strategic initiatives that highlight Walrus's market need, and building the profiles of Walrus spokespersons. Responsibilities also include planning and executing Walrus announcements with Partner and Product Marketing, writing and editing high-quality content such as blog posts and speaking proposals, supporting conference and event planning with onsite communications, adapting communications for different markets, and assisting with crisis communications response.
