Position Overview

The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer supports the development and execution of cloud implementation strategy within the organization's existing IT infrastructure. This role involves moderately complex to complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer implements the organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture. This position may work with stakeholders across the organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions. The role also collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud-based products/services, applications, and solutions. Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance, and implements enhancements. Begins to influence department’s strategy and makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding the technical approach for project components, working without direction and exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Requirements

• Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field OR 5 years of Sr. Cloud Engineer experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and/or infrastructure.
  • 2 years of experience with Cloud Enablement strategies.
  • 2 years of experience with CI/CD.
  • 2 years of experience with Container Orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Supports development and execution of cloud implementation strategy.
• Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture.
• Evaluates cloud systems and identifies appropriate solutions.
• Collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud-based products/services, applications, and solutions.
• Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance, and implements enhancements.
• Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components.

Work-At-Home Requirements

• Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
• Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
• A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mbps download x 10mbps upload) is required.
• Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel

• While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Compensation

• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
• Pay Range: $106,900 - $147,000 per year
• This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
