Requirements

  • Highly skilled and experienced in Cloud Operations, particularly with AWS services such as Organizations, Control Tower, Landing Zone, IAM Identity Center, EC2, S3, RDS/Aurora, DocumentDB, FSx, EKS, AMI Factory, Transit Gateway, IPAM, VPC, AWS Backup, and Vaults
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CDK (preferred), CloudFormation, and Terraform
  • Proficiency in automation scripting and tools for operational processes
  • Knowledge of observability best practices, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Experience with cloud security, compliance, audits, and cost-optimization strategies
  • Ability to design, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies meeting RTO and RPO objectives
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues and incident response
  • Capability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Experience with configuration management standards and networking solutions
  • Willingness to work fully remote from Colombia

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure using AWS services while ensuring compliance with organizational policies
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives, including planning, execution, and post-migration support
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent, automated deployments
  • Provision and manage cloud resources including compute, storage, databases, filesystems, container orchestration, and machine images
  • Define and enforce configuration management standards across cloud environments
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize automation scripts and tools to streamline operations
  • Establish and uphold observability best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with teams to minimize downtime
  • Design, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Ensure cloud security and compliance through best practices, audits, and policy enforcement
  • Monitor resource usage, analyze costs, and implement cost-optimization strategies
  • Design and manage networking solutions using Transit Gateway, IPAM, and VPC
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business goals and provide technical guidance
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support
  • Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures
