Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or related engineering field
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading and implementing improvement projects in a manufacturing/machining environment (e.g., Kaizen Events)
  • Familiar with common CI tools such as 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, SMED, Kaizen Event, etc
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Power BI
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with ERP, preferably QAD
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with proficiency in both Chinese and English
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence others internally and externally across all levels
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor others in Lean methodologies and tools

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance and enforcement of all Safety, GMP, Regulatory, Product Quality, Company Policies, Government, and Environmental requirements and laws
  • Embody, support, deploy, and enforce the company Vision, Mission, Purpose, and Success Factors
  • Lead, coordinate, and undertake the implementation of Stryker Global Manufacturing Excellence Strategy at the Suzhou site
  • Collaborate with employees at all levels to promote and drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Provide hands-on assistance and guidance on the shopfloor for daily operations, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting Lean activities
  • Facilitate and lead CI projects for waste elimination, material flow optimization, and process improvements using standard Lean tools and methodologies such as Kaizen Events
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to CI projects at all levels and facilitate Lean training to project teams
  • Responsible for shopfloor layout design and optimization initiatives, and coordinate execution of layout changes (e.g., workstation redesign, new machine arrival)
  • Responsible for OEE and machine capacity calculations, providing direction and support to production, planning, and engineering for improvements or capital investments
  • Responsible for master data management related to standard time and workplace management; identify and implement digitalization opportunities
  • Drive and lead standardization efforts across the plant related to workplace design, material flow, production data analysis (e.g., OEE, lead time), and problem-solving methodologies
