Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, MIS, or similar quantitative field preferred
  • 10+ years of extensive Telecom background/experience in installation, maintenance and repair of all variations of Copper and Fiber services
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as an engineer, planner, OSP designer or Network data analyst with a strong technical foundation
  • Experience with Telcomm Network Design systems (IQGeo, GIS, SmallWorld)
  • Hands-on development experience with at least one of the leading reporting tools, including Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Looker, and QlikSense
  • Extensive experience in working with complex datasets from internal program databases
  • Experience with big data technologies and advanced data analytics is preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, leading, and participating

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing data from internal and external sources to ensure accurate data for business consumption, including SAP, Fireworks, BidMaster, JRM, LeaseNet, Costar, JDS, WFMT, NDS, CLM, APO, FT3, ARMOR, MARTEN, Power, and various other related applications
  • Utilizing understanding of multiple data structures and sources to design, develop and implement decision support solutions, which may include data visualization, business intelligence, or data collection
  • Partnering with IT to influence the design, alignment, and implementation of ETL processes and data structures to allow for deeper analysis for current and long-term solutions
  • Ensuring projects meet network readiness dates within budget allotments
  • Developing innovative approaches to address complex data issues and business problems to facilitate Legacy equipment decommissions
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and uses those requirements to develop business intelligence reports
  • Evaluating business needs and objectives to inform your OSP architecture design solutions to Leaders and stakeholders
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining our reporting infrastructure using the various reporting stacks including Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Looker, and QlikSense
  • Serving as a technical business analyst / consultant to non-technical stakeholders
