Position Overview

The Metrics Lead is responsible for leading discussions with the business to identify key performance metrics, providing insights into performance, and ensuring the timely and accurate production of reports. This role is crucial for measuring improvements in key initiatives and offering valuable insights into industry performance and benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Performs exploratory data analysis to surface data and identify trends.
• Reviews completed deliverables before sending to customers.
• Takes ownership for achieving deliverables within specified time periods and provides regular updates to leadership.
• Implements standard processes and practices to support various systems and tools.
• Liaises with management to understand function-specific metrics and their mapping to senior leadership metric reporting.
• Provides metrics support for ad hoc initiatives, including process improvement and associated training.
• Guides and supports complex ad hoc queries.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of the industry and associated benchmarks to provide valuable performance insights.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
• Minimum 6+ years of previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
• A combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered sufficient.

• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail for producing high-quality deliverables; capable of effectively managing multiple assignments with challenging timelines.
• Data Analysis: Advanced expertise with data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using SQL and PowerBI.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent investigative and analytical skills utilizing statistical and data science techniques.
• Software Proficiency: High proficiency with the MS product suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with expert knowledge of Excel.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate in English. Capable of simplifying complex topics for a wide range of stakeholders.
• Visualization Tools: Excellent command of visualization tools and the ability to leverage them to impactfully communicate insights.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; capable of persuading and influencing cross-functional teams; capable of motivating and integrating team members.
• Training & Facilitation: Capable of providing training and facilitation for new users on processes, procedures, and systems.
• Learning Agility: Capable of learning new software and systems.
