Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Business Objects)
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance business and actuarial processes
  • Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and Data Virtuality (plus)
  • Ability to effectively work in a collaborative, international and cross-location team
  • Ability to own tasks, prioritize work, multi-task, and work independently with remote supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 5-10 years of business analysis experience, ideally within the actuarial field
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication)
  • Degree or equivalent in Actuarial or IT related subject

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyse stakeholders’ requirements and translate those into efficient and innovative technical solutions
  • Leverage experience in Reinsurance and actuarial processes to contribute to solution design of new application components
  • Gather, challenge and prioritize business requirements and translate into precise technical specifications
  • Contribute to development and deployment of system components and support system testing and documentation
  • Build a strong relationship to business stakeholders and a sound understanding of their core processes and priorities
  • Foster constant exchange with business stakeholders to ensure business needs are understood and translated into high quality and efficient technical solutions
  • Use combination of business knowledge and SQL skills to ensure findings are resolved in an efficient and timely manner with focus on long-term solution
  • Support project planning and execution, focus on delivering high quality on time and on budget
  • Communicate transparently to business stakeholders and IT
  • Ensure appropriate planning and prioritization as well as transparent communication to stakeholders (project management skills)
